Games at Henry J Beans

Just found out that Melissa (who works at Henry Js) can arrange a projector and using the wifi in the bar, people do watch US games over the internet via a laptop being projected. Very interesting. Will see if we can do that for the Ohio game or the Spartan game.

Found magazine tour of Europe 'spoken word'

Over the next two months, the  founders of Found Magazine (Davy and Peter Rothbart) are touring Europe on what I can only describe as a ‘spoken word’ tour for their finds over the past 7 years. If you don’t know what Found magazine is, you can have a quick read here and I’ve put a snippet of their mantra below.

So, what’s Found Magazine all about?

We collect found stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids’ homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles— anything that gives a glimpse into someone else’s life. Anything goes.

We certainly didn’t invent the idea of found stuff being cool. Every time we visit our friends in other towns, someone’s always got some kind of unbelievable discovered note or photo on their fridge. We decided to make a bunch of projects so that everyone can check out all the strange, hilarious and heartbreaking things people have picked up and passed our way.

I defintely plan on attending one of the London dates but details of venues and times across Europe are listed here.

Michigan vs Penn State, 9:30 GMT, Oct 18th

Not sure who is broadcasting it here. NASN website has nothing on it. ESPN is showing it in America. Bodeans BBQ has nothing either. Will assume Sports Cafe in Trafalgar will broadcast as usual.
