Today’s game prediction: Michigan wins. I have no “feel” for this game or this team for that matter. Also, please note that I no longer make pregame predictions, ever since the debacle against App St. Before that one I predicted that UM would not even punt in the first half and would win easily. - Mr Saginaw

Illinois game analysis from the Puma, Alum '94

Obviously, our offense has a long way to go.  Not telling you or anybody else who watches the games anything that they can’t see.  Our defense?  I think maybe Juice Williams (the Illini QB) is that good.  Just imagine what our new offense would be with a kid like Juice?  Here’s hoping that Tate Forcier and Shavodrick Beaver (yes, that is his real name), 2009 incoming QB’s are as good as advertised.  Of course, they will be true Freshman, so it could be 2-3 more years after this year before we really get it going on offense.  Do the Michigan alumni and fans realize that?  I doubt it, based upon the booing I witnessed at halftime of the Wisconsin game.  The alumni and fans will give Coach Rodriguez a pass this year, but if he doesn’t start winning next year, the pressure on his job will intensify dramatically.
